Job summary

MFA Petroleum Company operates Break Time convenience stores in Missouri. Break Time Sales Associates assist customers, process sales transactions, and perform store operations and food preparation to maintain a clean, well-stocked store during scheduled shifts.

Team members greet customers, handle accurate transactions, stock shelves, and follow company policies. Training, loss control duties, and adherence to safety standards are expected.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Friendly, customer service-oriented person who enjoys a fast-paced work environment.
• Flexible availability to work, including weekends and holidays.
• Reliable transportation to work.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations to make change and balance shift reports.
• Ability to learn new concepts, use technical materials, and operate a computer and POS systems.
• Food Handler’s Card or equivalent certifications and food safety training.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for up to nine hours per shift.

Responsibilities

• Greet and thank customers, provide fast, friendly service, and conduct accurate transactions.
• Perform merchandising: pricing, promotions, stocking, facing, and store cleanliness.
• Maintain timely communication with customers, vendors, coworkers and management.
• Work as a team to serve customers while complying with regulations.
• Use POS hardware and software to process transactions and count product.
• Train new employees on policies and procedures; assist with loss prevention and cash handling.
• Prepare food service items following guidelines, check temperatures and maintain cleanliness.
• Keep the store clean and organized, sanitary, and well-stocked.
• Perform other duties as assigned by MFA Oil.
