Job summary

Break Time Sales Associates at MFA Petroleum Company deliver fast, friendly customer service, handle transactions, and keep the store clean and stocked. You’ll assist with food preparation, merchandising, and safety while following company policies during scheduled shifts.

Qualifications include 18+ years, reliability, and ability to work weekends/holidays; training and advancement opportunities are available within MFA Oil’s Break Time stores across Missouri.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Friendly, customer service–oriented in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible availability including weekends/holidays.
• Reliable transportation to work.
• Able to perform math to make change and track counts.
• Able to learn concepts, use technology, and operate a computer.
• Willing to obtain a Food Handler's Card or equivalent certifications.
• Physical ability to handle products in cold temps and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Stand for up to nine hours per shift.
• English literacy for communication with customers and staff.
• Must pass pre-employment background check and drug test.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Greet and thank customers consistently; provide fast, friendly service; conduct accurate transactions and resolve concerns.
• Perform merchandising tasks: pricing, promotions, stocking, and ensuring clean front display.
• Maintain timely, professional communication with customers, vendors, and staff.
• Work as a team to serve customers while following laws and store policies.
• Operate the store's POS and other devices; perform change calculations and shift reports.
• Train new employees on policies and procedures; assist with loss prevention and inventory controls.
• Follow food service guidelines and use kitchen equipment for food preparation.
• Keep the store clean and sanitized; ensure proper product display and storage.
• Adhere to all MFA Oil policies; may perform other duties as assigned.
