Job summary

The Smithsonian National Zoo Retail Stores in Washington DC seeks an enthusiastic, customer-focused Retail Floor Supervisor to lead staff, deliver exceptional guest experiences, and maximize sales in a well-stocked store environment.

Reporting to the Retail Area Manager, you will coach team members, manage scheduling, and uphold standards of excellence for a Trust Fund, full-time role in Washington, DC with a salary of $45,000–$50,000 per year.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• At least 1 year of supervisory/management experience in a high-volume retail environment.
• Must have a valid US driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales growth by maximizing resources and delivering guest service.
• Analyze retail performance and share results with staff.
• Coach and develop retail associates on sales and operations.
• Maintain floor presentation and inventory accuracy.
• Support staffing, scheduling, and onboarding.
• Operate POS systems and handle cash/returns.
