Job summary

Foot Locker, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to lead with energy, ownership, and purpose on the sales floor. You will support the Store Manager in driving sales, coaching the team, and ensuring a smooth, customer-focused store operation.

The ASM is a hands-on leader who stays connected to customers and teammates, taking pride in delivering an exceptional shopping experience and owning day-to-day store execution.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of retail experience with leadership or key-holding role.
• Ability to coach, motivate, and engage a diverse team.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Reliable, self-motivated, and ready to take ownership.
• Basic understanding of retail KPIs and operational processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example on the sales floor with energy, confidence, and solutions to every customer interaction.
• Coach the team to deliver great service, share product knowledge, and excite customers to shop.
• Support sales goals by staying engaged on the floor and helping close the loop with customers.
• Assist daily store operations including opening/closing, cash handling, and floor coverage.
• Maintain an organized, customer-ready store and follow safety and SOPs.
• Take ownership of store execution and leverage retail tech to enhance the customer experience.
