Job summary

The TJX Companies, Inc. is hiring for a store associate focused on floor care and maintaining a clean shopping environment at TJ Maxx locations. You will operate floor cleaning equipment, mop and dust, and ensure adherence to health, safety, and loss prevention standards.

Cross-training in multiple store areas is expected to support busy periods and store recovery. Strong communication and teamwork are essential to provide excellent customer service.

• Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and run floor buffer and scrubber.
• Capable of multi-tasking.

• Retail customer experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and organized store environment with a focus on floor care.
• Operate the scrubber and buffer; dust mop, damp mop, sweep, vacuum, dust, and spot clean glass and windows.
• Adhere to operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards.
• Cross-trained to work in multiple areas of the store to support business needs.
• Role models established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
• Support and embody a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Maintain floor care cleanliness standards including equipment operation.
• Adhere to health and safety policies and break/meal period policies.
• Communicate accurately and effectively with management and associates.
• Participate in store recovery and adhere to merchandising signage standards.
• Assist with Front End coverage as needed; adhere to labor laws.
