Summary

This position primarily assists customers in their purchase of company products and services through a variety of duties related to customer service, inventory, and sales order processing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Handles all aspects of customer service (internal and external customers alike)
  • Handles customer and employee issues and communicates to management any issues that need addressing
  • Assists with inventory to and from the warehouse and sales floor
  • Promotes a positive culture within the department/store
  • Works with customers to ensure a positive shopping experience
  • Handles inbound calls
  • Provides and collects required paperwork and forms following ATF guidelines, ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Makes and maintains required paperwork
  • Quotes price and describes features of product items
  • Emphasizes sellable features, credit terms, and prepares sales orders
  • Stocks products on the sales floor
  • Cleans and organizes work areas
  • Enforces safety, health, and security rules
  • Adheres to all company policies and procedures
  • Performs any other duties as required by management

Physical Demands

Regular duties include standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds regularly and occasionally more than 100 pounds, stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing, and handling cash. The job also involves the use of hands, arms, and frequent movement. Visual tasks include close, distance, color, depth perception, and focus adjustments. The environment may involve exposure to explosives, moving mechanical parts, fumes, weather, extreme temperatures, and moderate noise levels.

Essential Functions / Physical Requirements

Standing for extended periods, lifting packages, performing light cleaning, stocking and straightening merchandise, typing data, handling cash, checking ATF forms and layaways.
