Job description

SUMMARY

This position is primarily responsible for scanning customer merchandise in a timely fashion, processing payments/data entry of all firearms sales according to ATF guidelines, and administering licenses via the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) website. This position will also be answering phone calls and handling customer service responsibilities by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Handles all needs and issues customers may have and deals with them accordingly to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Accurately process sales, returns, layaways, and special orders through the Point of Sales system.
  • Accurate data entry of all firearm sales according to ATF guidelines and procedures.
  • Communicate to management regarding issues that need to be addressed.
  • Promote a positive culture within the department/store.
  • Answer incoming phone calls and route them accordingly to the necessary departments.
  • Operate ODNR licensing.
  • Examine merchandise to ensure that it is correctly priced, displayed, and functions as advertised.
  • Process and receive payments and issue receipts to customers as they leave with purchases.
  • Provide customer service by greeting and assisting customers and responding to inquiries and complaints.
  • Assist with inventory to and from the warehouse and sales floor.
  • Perform work activities such as cleaning and organizing shelves and displays and selling merchandise.
  • Enforce safety, health, and security rules.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as required by management.
