Job summary

Socket.dev seeks a Finance Manager – Retail to own financial planning and analysis for the Retail Division. You will partner with Retail Management, Operations, and Accounting to ensure accurate reporting of budgeted and actual results, covering P&L components such as sales, payroll, rent, and other expenses.

You will drive budgeting, forecasting, and monthly reporting, delivering insights and dashboards to senior leadership with a bias toward operational execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics required.
• MBA or CPA or similar designation preferred.
• 5–10 years’ experience in financial reporting and analysis.
• Experience in a fast-paced, multi-unit business (retail ideal).
• GAAP knowledge.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Creative, self-motivated with high attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Develop financial/operational annual budgets and interim reforecasts with cross-functional teams.
• Explain monthly P&L variances to Retail Operations.
• Support planning and reporting initiatives with Business Systems and data analysis.
• Analyze results, monitor variances, identify trends, and advise management.
• Prepare monthly financial reports and dashboards for senior management.
