Job summary

Socket.dev seeks an Accounting & Financial Analyst to provide cost and inventory accounting support and financial analysis. This role collaborates with Operations, Supply Chain, and Purchasing to research inventory issues and variances.

The position also supports month-end close, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, translating insights into actionable business improvements. Strong Excel and ERP experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3-5 years of accounting, cost accounting, financial analysis, or related experience.
• Experience with cost and inventory accounting.
• Understanding of general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
• Strong Excel skills and ability to work with large data sets.
• ERP experience and understanding of transaction flows within ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Support cost and inventory accounting activities, including inventory valuation, standard costing, variances, overhead and labor analysis.
• Prepare recurring and ad hoc financial analyses to support leadership.
• Perform inventory-related reconciliations and assist with reserves and month-end activities.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, including KPIs.
• Coordinate with Operations, Supply Chain, Purchasing on inventory and costing issues.
• Contribute to profitability analyses for products, customers, and channels.
