Job summary

Thompson Hospitality, Corporate Office, is seeking a seasoned Controller to lead the Retail Division's financial activities. You will partner with leaders to ensure accuracy, GAAP adherence, and actionable insights that drive operational performance.

The role emphasizes supervising the accounting team, improving processes, and supporting budgeting with a focus on working capital optimization and strategic decision making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business or a related field.
• Equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience will be considered.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
• Experience preparing financial statements and performing account reconciliations.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate, complete, and timely financial statements.
• Ensure GAAP compliance across financial activities.
• Review and reconcile balance sheet accounts each period.
• Assist with month-end and period-end close processes.
• Support annual budgeting and forecasting with operations leaders.
• Provide financial guidance to business leaders for informed decisions.
• Mentor and train accounting team members on policies and best practices.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives and special projects.
