Job summary

MTI/Sempro Tech is seeking a Flexible Project Based Retail Field Network Technician to install, maintain, and repair security devices, access points, routers, switches, POS systems, printers, and modems across client locations. You will travel to various markets, perform cabling, test Wi-Fi, and ensure reliable network services while delivering excellent customer support.

Candidates should be 18+, have a valid driver's license, be able to lift 60 lbs, and be comfortable on ladders;

• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with networking technologies and devices (APs, routers, switches).
• Excellent communication with customers via phone/email.
• Willingness to travel to multiple markets.

Job Title: Flexible Project Based Retail Field Network Technician

Field & Network technicians handle installation, implementing, maintaining, upgrading, and or repairing secruity devices, networks/ networked devices such as access point, router, switches, pos systems, printers, and modems. Set up and troubleshoot connections in many different environments and connect them with physical cables or wireless frequencies, creating adequate signal strength throughout a location for a client's use.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Current Driver’s License, insurance, and a vehicle.
• Previous IT or Related technical technician experience is required.
• Technically inclined – experience with Cabling runs/ management/ testing/ terminating, Network provisioning.
• Excellent communication skills via phone, text, and email.
• Smart Phone mobile device.
• Flexible availability.
• Frequent use of hand tools.
• Travel is required in various markets.
• Lifting 60lbs or more.
• Able to climb up and down ladders.
• Testing networks Wi‑Fi signals, heat mapping.
• Installing, troubleshooting access points, routers, switches.

Competency:

• Strong diagnostic and problem‑solving skills.
• Superior knowledge of various networking technologies.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Aptitude for customer support.

Required Education and Experience

• Over the age of 18.
• Certifications are a plus but not required.
• All training is provided.
