Job summary

Wild Birds Unlimited, Inc. is seeking a Manager of Retail Experience Design to lead the evolution of the in-store environment in Carmel, IN.

You will own layout, fixture systems, customer flow, lighting, and signage, serving as the primary consultant for franchise stores during remodels and new builds. The role requires a Bachelor’s in Interior Design/Architecture or related field with 5–8 years of retail store design experience, CAD/SketchUp proficiency, and strong vendor management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• 5–8 years of direct retail store design/architectural experience is preferred.
• Strong CAD and SketchUp proficiency; experience with design software and office tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a forward-looking vision for the in-store experience aligned with brand standards.
• Produce accurate, scaled 3D renderings, floor plans, and planograms for new stores and remodels.
• Provide franchise store owners with design, permitting, and construction guidance.
• Negotiate and implement cost-efficient buying programs with preferred vendors.
