Job summary

LMI Government Consulting seeks a Service Design Analyst to advance a large-scale retail modernization program. The role blends human-centered design, process analysis, and experience strategy to improve how people, technology, and operations connect.

The ideal candidate has POS/retail system experience, and excels at facilitating workshops that turn insights into measurable business outcomes. U.S. citizenship and eligibility for a government background check are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human-Centered Design, Psychology, Systems Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years applying human-centered or service design in complex environments.
• Experience facilitating co-design workshops and journey mapping with diverse stakeholders.
• Knowledge of POS/retail system workflows and transaction management.
• Ability to translate insights into actionable requirements and KPIs.
• Familiarity with Agile/Lean methods and tools (Jira, Confluence, SharePoint).

Responsibilities

• Facilitate stakeholder interviews, co-design sessions, and workshops to uncover needs.
• Analyze current-state workflows and user experiences to identify gaps.
• Develop journey maps, service blueprints, and process models across channels.
• Define and track experience and operational KPIs such as wait time and uptime.
• Translate insights into clear, actionable business and system requirements.
• Support creation of experience roadmaps and business cases for modernization.
• Collaborate with UX, service design, and technical teams to ensure human-centered outcomes.
• Create visual reports and presentations communicating insights to leadership.
• Ensure deliverables meet accessibility, security, and data integrity standards.
