Job summary

Apple Inc. seeks a product design engineer for the Retail, Event, & Channel Product Design (RECPD) team in the San Francisco Bay Area.

You will scope, design, and engineer products that meet customer requirements, balancing performance, aesthetics, reliability, manufacturability, and cost across store furniture and fixtures. You will work through concept generation, detailed design, testing, and mass production, collaborating with cross-functional partners to deliver innovative hardware

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years of mechanical design experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to travel up to 15% domestically and internationally.
• Experience with 3D CAD modeling and workflows.
• Experience with DFMEA, DFA, GD&T is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop design concepts and solutions to meet program requirements.
• Design 3D models of parts and assemblies; draft 2D documentation.
• Build prototypes and create test plans to evaluate designs.
• Collaborate with Industrial Design, Product Marketing, MarCom, and Visual Merchandising.
• Coordinate with manufacturing, operations, and vendors on processes.
