Job summary

MERS / Missouri Goodwill Industries is seeking a Retail Donation Attendant for the Bonner Springs Store - 129th. You will engage donors with friendly service, assist with donations, and help maintain organized chaos across donation flow and sales areas.

Qualifications

• No degree required; High School Diploma/GED preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, customers, and management.
• Must be organized and capable of interacting with a diverse work population.
• Basic math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Responsibilities

• Provide positive customer service interactions, including greetings and assisting donors with drop-offs.
• Handle donations with care and respect.
• Sort donated and purchased goods into categories (sales floor, seasonal, online, outlet, trash).
• Notify management of hazardous, valuable, or inappropriate merchandise.
• Maintain store area cleanliness, stock, rotate, and keep surfaces clean.
• Uphold store cleanliness standards by sweeping, dusting, mopping, and shining surfaces.
