Ohio Valley Goodwill Industries, founded in 1916, is one of the largest providers of rehabilitation services in Ohio. We generate sales revenue through our retail stores to support individuals with disabilities and homeless veterans.

The Donation Attendant provides excellent customer service, greets donors, receives donations, and supplies receipts. Prepares donations for processing and works efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Flexible schedule required, including weekends and holidays.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum six months of work experience or equivalent education/vocational experience
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Ability to understand and communicate in English
• Physical ability to walk, stand, bend, lift (up to 35 pounds), and perform related tasks
• Training to operate equipment like big joe stacker and pallet jack (age 18+)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Team motivation skills
• Experience in warehouse settings
• Pallet packing and forklift experience
• Basic computer skills
• Multilingual abilities

Essential Duties:

• Provide excellent service to donors and customers
• Greet donors and unload donations safely
• Complete and distribute donor receipts
• Sort donations into categories
• Follow safety and security practices
• Maintain professional appearance and adhere to policies
• Report safety issues and misconduct
• Follow work schedule as assigned

Additional Responsibilities:

• Assist with loading/unloading donations for transport
• Perform housekeeping and janitorial duties
• Communicate the organization’s mission effectively
• Perform other duties as assigned

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
