Primary Duties/Responsibilities
- Provide positive customer service interactions, including greetings, assisting donors with their donation drop-off, and offering thanks, donation incentives, and tax receipts.
- Handle all donations with care and respect.
- Sort donated and purchased goods into categories: sales floor, seasonal, online sales, outlet, and trash, according to established guidelines.
- Notify management of hazardous, valuable, or inappropriate merchandise/materials being donated.
- Maintain high quality and quantity standards while working efficiently.
- Stock, straighten, rotate, and maintain the cleanliness of the store area.
- Uphold store cleanliness standards through sweeping, dusting, mopping, and shining surfaces.
- Establish and maintain positive, professional relationships with team members and leadership; collaborate cross-functionally to enhance communication.
- Follow safe work practices, ensure a hazard-free workplace, and remove obstructions.
- Maintain a professional appearance, adhering to dress code standards.
- Safeguard agency assets, including cash and donated items, and report theft or unauthorized possession.
- Follow all policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
