Job summary

ActionLink in Burlington, WA is seeking a Part-Time Retail Merchandiser to visit major retailers, set up and maintain product displays, and ensure accurate placement of electronics, appliances, and accessories.

You will report on store visits with photos and work 12–18 hours per week Monday through Thursday 8am–4pm. A valid driver’s license and personal vehicle are required, with potential for additional hours in larger regions.

Qualifications

• Previous merchandising or related retail experience preferred.
• Ability to follow complex display diagrams and instructions.
• Comfortable working independently and with a small team.
• Tech-ready: internet, handheld tools, GPS-enabled device.
• Requires driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Visit stores within assigned territory to set up and maintain client product displays across electronics, appliances, tablets, gaming consoles, and more.
• Ensure proper placement, assembly, maintenance, and troubleshooting of displays.
• Submit same-day digital surveys with photos after each visit.
• Schedule 12–18 visits per week, Monday–Thursday 8am–4pm; no weekends.

Enhance the Retail Experience, One Display at a Time!

• Store Visits: Complete projects at major retail stores within an assigned territory to represent our clients’ brands by setting up and maintaining a wide variety of their products –you’d be working with anything from HD TVs and home theater equipment; small and large home appliances; tablets & laptops; gaming consoles; home audio; and more!**
• Purpose: Ensure proper placement, assembly, maintenance, and troubleshooting of promotional product displays**
• Clients: Represent global clients such as Microsoft, Samsung, T-Mobile, Dyson, Bose, and Intel**
• Scheduling: Up to 12-18 per week, availability required Monday - Thursday 8am - 4pm. No weekends/evenings.**
• Additional Opportunities: Potential for more hours if covering larger regions or traveling.**
• Reporting: Submit same-day digital surveys with feedback and pictures for each store visit**
• Requirements: Covering the greater Burlington/Mt. Vernon area. Occasional coverage will be required in Bellingham and Marysville for partner projects. 1-2 trips per month will be required to Oak Harbor.**

• Experience: Previous merchandising, 3PL, or relevant retail experience is highly desirable**
• Versatility: Handle all levels of merchandising work within assigned territory**
• Attention to Detail: Follow complex written instructions and display diagrams**
• Independence and Teamwork: Comfortable working independently and collaborating with a small team when needed**
• Tech-ready:Internet access, basic hand-held tools, and a Wi-Fi/GPS enabled smart device with latest OS update. Laptop/desktop access is a plus**
• Travel Ability: Must have driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle and will be required to use their vehicle to perform the responsibilities of the role.**
• Physical Ability: Must be able to stand, bend, stoop, climb ladders, and lift products weighing up to 50 lbs. without assistance**
