Job summary

Thuma is seeking a Director of Retail Development to own the end-to-end store build program from site evaluation through opening day, shaping standards, budgets, and schedules across a growing fleet. You will lead a cross-functional team of designers, architects, general contractors, and internal partners, travel 25–50% to evaluate sites and oversee diligence, design, permitting, and handover.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in retail construction, store development, or store planning.
• 5+ years leading a team or a function.
• Willingness to travel 25% to 50%.
• Experience delivering multiple retail buildouts on time and on budget.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end development program: set master schedule, manage process, and keep partners moving.
• Lead and develop the retail development team and create playbooks and vendor bench.
• Own physical and technical diligence at prospective locations, build build-ready budgets and schedules.
