Job summary

Floor & Decor Designers provide a seamless start-to-finish consultative design service, building lasting relationships and brand loyalty with customers. You will meet with clients, learn project needs, educate on requirements, and craft a design concept that fits personal style, lifestyle, and budget.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, scheduling appointments, advising on tile/wood/stone selections, and managing projects from inquiry to installation while collaborating with store

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of interior design experience or prior retail/sales experience.
• Degree in Design is a plus.
• Knowledge of hard surface flooring is a plus.
• Proficient in basic mathematical skills.
• Must be self-motivated and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Greet store customers in a helpful manner and support design needs.
• Schedule design appointments and develop clientele through networking and referrals.
• Provide tile, wood, stone and accessory advice for residential and commercial projects.
• Design and sell complete, functional and aesthetically appealing solutions.
• Manage multiple customer projects through all phases with accurate and timely communication.
• Collaborate with store leadership to manage projects from inquiry to installation.
• Support company initiatives by modeling best practices with staff.
