Job summary

Joe V’s Smart Shop, a division of H-E-B, seeks an Exempt Department Manager to oversee department operations including inventory flow, receiving and shelf edge with emphasis in your area of expertise such as produce, market or front end.

You will lead a large store team, drive store operations and customer service initiatives, and partner with leadership to ensure safety, quality, and storewide success.

Qualifications

• Operational/retail management experience is required.
• Leadership with direct reports and cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to manage flexible schedules including night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Oversee department operations including perishable areas, center store, inventory flow and shelf edge.
• Lead hiring, performance reviews, and staff development for area of focus.
• Monitor financial and operational performance and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with store leadership to align total store plans and ensure customer service excellence.
