Job summary

Joe V’s Smart Shop, a division of H-E-B, seeks an Exempt Department Manager to oversee department operations including perishable, center store, inventory flow, receiving, and shelf edge, with emphasis in your area of expertise (produce, market, front end).

Lead staffing, analyze financials, conduct audits, manage schedules, maintain safety and quality, and collaborate with store leadership to deliver excellent customer service and achieve total store goals.

Qualifications

• Operational / Retail management experience required.
• Leadership with multiple direct reports.
• Strong understanding of retail accounting and shrink control.
• Ability to analyze financial and performance data.
• Flexible schedule including night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Oversee department operations across areas with staffing, training and performance accountability.
• Review financial and performance reports; address opportunities and issues.
• Maintain inventory levels, ordering and quality control; ensure safety compliance.
• Develop weekly schedules; coordinate cross-functional activities store-wide.
• Partner with store leadership to align total store plans and customer service.
