Job Description: Store Associate at TJ Maxx

Responsible for executing receiving and merchandising standards, ensuring efficient processing by Associates, and working as part of a team. Provides an excellent customer experience through engaging interactions and maintaining a clean, organized store. Role models exceptional customer service.

1. Creates a positive experience for internal and external customers.
2. Promotes honesty, integrity, and confidentiality.
3. Manages truck deliveries, prioritizing merchandise processing onto the sales floor.
4. Trains and mentors Associates on merchandising and processing principles.
5. Ensures merchandise is properly tagged, hung, secured, and coded.
6. Communicates with the Coordinator on Duty to ensure smooth flow of goods.
7. Ensures tasks are completed according to store plan, prioritizing as needed.
8. Monitors team productivity and coaches as necessary.
9. Organizes and rotates back stock for easy replenishment.
10. Upholds merchandising and signage standards.
11. Maintains cleanliness and organization standards, including backroom and recycling/hazardous waste procedures.
12. Communicates effectively with management and Associates, providing updates on priorities and progress.
13. Provides and receives recognition and constructive feedback.
14. Partners with Management on training needs to enhance effectiveness.
15. Ensures compliance with labor laws, policies, and procedures.
16. Promotes credit and loyalty programs.
17. Supports store shrink reduction initiatives.
18. Promotes safety and maintains a safe environment.
19. Performs other duties as assigned.
