Job summary

Powder House Ski Shop is a locally owned ski retailer with Alta, UT operations. We seek reliable, hardworking individuals for the winter season in a hands-on, in-person role.

As a Shop Team Member you will help guests with ski rentals, retail sales, boot fittings, and daily shop operations. This is a full-time, four-days-per-week schedule during December through April, with 10-hour shifts from 8:00am to 6:00pm.

Qualifications

• Must be available to work 10-hour shifts and commit to December–April.
• Weekend and holiday availability required.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate loads.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers in a friendly, knowledgeable manner.
• Set up ski rentals and perform DIN testing (training provided).
• Process transactions, returns, and exchanges.
• Support retail sales and product restocking.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop.
• Assist with ski tuning check-ins and pickups.
• Monitor inventory and communicate low-stock needs.

Job Overview

We are seeking reliable, hard-working individuals to join our team for the winter season. This is an in-person, customer-facing role that requires full-time availability throughout our operating months. As a Shop Team Member, you\'ll assist guests with ski rentals, retail sales, boot fittings, and overall shop operations. Full-time employees are scheduled four days per week, working 10-hour shifts from 8:00am to 6:00pm.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers in a friendly, knowledgeable manner
• Set up ski and snowboard rentals, including DIN testing (training provided)
• Process transactions, returns, and exchanges
• Support retail sales and product restocking
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of shop space
• Assist with ski tuning check-ins and pick-ups
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate low-stock needs.
• Help create a positive team environment during high-volume periods

Qualifications

• Reliable transportation to and from shop location (Alta, UT)
