J.Jill is seeking a Business Analyst to partner with Real Estate, Marketing, Retail Operations, and Merchandising, delivering data-driven insights to guide strategic decisions. You’ll translate questions into actionable recommendations using SQL, Excel, and BI tools, while supporting store forecasting for openings, closures, and transfers.

The role requires advanced SQL, experience with R/Python, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Advanced SQL skills required.
• Experience with statistical predictive analytics tools like R and Python preferred.
• Natural analytical curiosity is essential.
• Must demonstrate attention to detail and be highly organized.
• Desire to continuously learn and ask questions to gain clarity.
• Strong MS Office skills, especially advanced Excel.
• Experience with BI tools (Qlik Sense, Power BI, Tableau) preferred.
• Self-motivated with ability to work independently and across functions.
• Ability to analyze implications and make recommendations from data.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Partners with cross-functional teams to provide analytical decision support to leaders to increase revenue and profit.
• Leads conception, design, execution, and analysis of corporate-wide testing activities.
• Knows KPIs and tracks them against business strategies and goals.
• Acts as a subject matter expert on analytics and automation, delivering advanced insights.
• Provides recommendations to improve tools, scorecards, KPIs and benchmarks.
• Performs end-to-end analytics: structure data, build SQL queries, summarize insights in decks or emails.
• Develops automated self-service reporting using BI tools (Qlik Sense, Databricks, BI).
• Calculates sales forecasts for new store locations and for closures/transfers.
