Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. is seeking a Customer Service Associate to help shoppers and deliver a friendly, efficient experience in Mill Hall. You will assist customers, process transactions at the register, and keep the store clean, stocked, and secure.

You should have a high school diploma or equivalent and prior customer service experience. The role requires lifting 30–50 lbs, standing, walking, and strong communication and problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations
• Manage sales transactions while operating a cash register
• Maintain cash security and protect company assets
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise
• Receive merchandise and assist with unloading trucks and stock replenishment
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and colleagues
• Ensure store cleanliness including bathrooms, floors, trash, and neat presentation
