Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking a Customer Service Associate to join our team and deliver a great shopping experience. You will assist customers, handle transactions, and help stock and maintain store appearance.

The role emphasizes friendly customer interactions, safety, and teamwork in a fast-paced retail environment. Part-time hours may apply, with responsibilities across daily store operations.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment according to productivity standards.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, and trash handling.
• Other duties as assigned.
