Job description

Join to apply for the Retail Customer Service Team Member role at Michaels Stores.

Store - QUAD-DAVENPORT, IA

Deliver friendly customer service, assist customers in shopping, and ensure a quick and friendly checkout experience. Complete truck unloading and merchandise duties, maintain store recovery standards, and support various store operations.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Helping customers locate products and providing solutions
  2. Executing cash handling to standards for a fast checkout
  3. Engaging customers about Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards, completing enrollments
  4. Educating customers on VOC surveys
  5. Supporting Omni channel processes like BOPIS and SFS
  6. Participating in truck unload, stocking, and planogram processes
  7. Completing merchandise recovery and store maintenance
  8. Performing Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties
  9. Supporting shrink and safety programs
  10. Adhering to SOPs and company policies for compliance
  11. Promoting a positive, respectful environment and serving as a role model
  12. Cross-training in Custom Framing selling and production
Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • Retail and/or customer service experience preferred
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
  • Standing for long periods, moving throughout the store, bending, lifting, reaching
  • Ability to lift heavy boxes, use ladders, and perform outdoor work if needed
