Job summary

Family Dollar in South Holland, IL is seeking a Customer Service Associate to help shoppers with questions, process transactions, and keep the store well stocked and inviting.

You will unload merchandise, assist with stock replenishment, maintain cleanliness, and ensure a safe, friendly environment for customers and colleagues. The role is part-time and requires strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail or similar environment preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Process sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Stock replenishment and merchandise recovery.
• Receive merchandise and help unloading trucks.
• Maintain store cleanliness and bathrooms, floors, and trash areas.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and associates.
• Other duties as assigned.
