Job description

This position is essential to the success of our retail stores. Customer Service Specialists work closely with wholesale and retail customers to determine their needs, answer questions about Sherwin-Williams products, and recommend appropriate solutions. They are also responsible for promptly resolving customer concerns, ensuring maximum client satisfaction, staying updated on product features, and maintaining high quality and visual standards of the products and store. The role requires achieving excellent customer service while meeting the store’s sales goals.

The selected individual will work at Store #3066, located at: 3314 Highway 10 E, Moorhead, MN 56560. This is a full-time position.

Job duties involve contact with customers, including minors, and access to cash, electronic equipment, personal information, merchandise, and other valuable items. Access may be supervised or unsupervised. To protect the business, its operations, reputation, and the safety of customers, staff, employees, vendors, contractors, and the public, a review of criminal history is conducted.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
  1. Must be at least 18 years old
  2. Legally authorized to work in the country without sponsorship now or in the future
  3. Valid, unrestricted Driver’s License
  4. Ability to retrieve materials from shelves and lift up to 50 lbs. frequently and 70 lbs. on occasion, with or without reasonable accommodations
  5. Willingness to work scheduled hours, including evenings and weekends, with or without accommodations
  6. If internal to Sherwin-Williams, must have a “meets expectations” (3) rating on the most recent performance appraisal
  7. If internal, must have completed all required HR Cloud eLearning courses
Preferred Qualifications:
  1. High School diploma or GED
  2. At least one year of experience in delivery, retail, or customer service
  3. Experience selling paint and related products
  4. Experience operating tinting and mixing equipment
  5. Ability to communicate in more than one language, including Spanish
Responsibilities
  • Ensure high customer satisfaction through excellent sales service
  • Assist customers in person and over the phone by identifying needs and presenting suitable products and services
  • Build trust relationships with wholesale and retail customers
  • Process sales transactions accurately following policies and procedures
  • Achieve sales goals regularly
  • Maintain work order files and formulas accurately
  • Pull products from the sales floor or warehouse
  • Tint and mix products per customer specifications
  • Stock shelves and set up displays
  • Clean store equipment
  • Load and unload delivery trucks
  • Assist with deliveries as needed
  • Keep areas in-stock and presentable
  • Stay knowledgeable about products and discuss options with customers
  • Follow inventory control procedures
  • Suggest sales improvements
