Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking a Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience. You’ll assist customers, process sales at the register, and help keep the store stocked and organized.

You will unload merchandise, maintain cleanliness, and ensure safety and respectful interactions with customers and team members. This role is part-time and requires physical capability and strong service orientation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Retail, hospitality, grocery or drug store experience preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operating documents is required.
• Must lift between 30 and 50 lbs and meet demands of walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing and pulling.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment per productivity standards.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, trash removal, and presentation.
• Other duties as assigned*.
