Job summary

Big Lots is seeking motivated individuals to support our Stores as we provide essential products at great values to the communities we serve. As a Customer Service Associate you will greet customers, assist with merchandise, complete transactions, and answer questions regarding the store and merchandise.

You may unload trucks, process freight, stock shelves, and recover merchandise. Qualified candidates have high school or better, retail or similar experience preferred, and must lift up to 50

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery or drug store experience preferred.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Customer service focused with strong communication skills.
• Ability to operate POS and handle cash accurately.
• Excellent teamwork and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provides customer engagement in positive and approachable manner.
• Maintains a clean, well-stocked store for customers.
• Unloads merchandise from delivery trucks and stocks shelves.
• Processes transactions using the POS system accurately.
• Maintains safety and security in the store.
• Supports other store operations as needed.
