Job summary

Love's Travel Stops in Ohio is hiring entry-level cashiers to deliver fast, friendly, and accurate service at our busy locations. You will help customers, scan items, and balance the cash register while maintaining clean facilities and a welcoming environment.

No prior experience? No problem. We train you on our POS systems, food safety standards, and daily routines. We offer tuition assistance, PTO, 401(k) match, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle cash accurately.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with finding items and answering questions.
• Balance a cash register and complete transactions following laws.
• Operate POS systems and process payments accurately.
• Maintain food safety throughout handling of fresh foods and deli items.
• Clean and stock work area, sales floor, restrooms, and pumps.
• Cross-train in departments such as Restaurant Services or Maintenance.

They may perform various duties depending on business needs so flexibility and teamwork skills are important. No experience? No problem. We will teach you!

Job Functions

• General customer service duties including, but not limited to, helping customers find items, answering questions about products and services, and addressing customer needs.
• Balancing a cash register by completing customer transactions and offering additional sales opportunities to customers while following all state and local laws.
• Use a variety of methods and technology to ensure proper food safety conditions of our fresh food and deli products.
• Responsibility for cleaning your direct working area, the sales floor, restrooms, showers, gas/diesel pumps, and completing trash runs.
• Additional duties could include cross training in other departments such as Restaurant Services, Fresh Kitchen, Facility Maintenance, and leadership roles.
• Ability to move, lift 25+ pounds. Ability to work in various temperatures.
