Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking a Customer Service Associate to join our team in Keysville, VA. You will assist customers, manage transactions at the register, stock shelves, and help unload merchandise while ensuring a clean and safe store environment. The role emphasizes friendly customer interactions and adherence to store policies.

Ideal candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, retail service experience, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Part-time hours are available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and handle frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while operating the cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and unload trucks, stock replenishment as per productivity standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful store environment with friendly interactions.
• Keep bathrooms and floors clean and presentable.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
