Job summary

Family Dollar LLC in Lovelock, NV is seeking a Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience. You will assist customers, manage transactions at the cash register, and help maintain store appearance and safety.

The role requires a high school diploma (preferred) and prior customer service experience; you should be able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform varied store duties, including stocking, cleaning, and teamwork with colleagues.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment while maintaining professional interactions with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including restrooms, sweeping/mopping floors, taking out trash, and keeping areas neat and presentable.
