Job summary

Family Dollar LLC in Battle Mountain, NV is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate to provide a positive shopping experience. You will assist customers, handle sales transactions at the register, and help maintain store cleanliness and stock levels.

The role requires ability to lift 30–50 lbs and strong customer service and communication skills. A high school diploma is preferred, with previous retail or service industry experience highly valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks; stock replenishment per productivity standards.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, trash, and presentation.
• Other duties as assigned*.
