Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of New Jersey LLC is seeking a Customer Service Associate in Clifton, NJ to deliver a friendly shopping experience. You will assist customers with questions and recommendations, manage transactions at the register, and ensure the store is neat, safe, and well stocked.

This role requires reliability, strong communication, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs while standing and walking for long periods.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and meet demands of frequent walking, standing and lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks; stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and associates.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, bathrooms, floors, and surfaces.
• Other duties as assigned.
