Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of New Jersey LLC is hiring a part-time Customer Service Associate in Passaic, NJ. You will assist customers, handle transactions at the register, and help keep the store stocked and presentable.

Responsibilities include ensuring a safe, friendly shopping environment, unloading merchandise, and supporting daily store operations. The role emphasizes excellent service, teamwork, and adherence to policies and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, and pulling.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks and stock replenishment.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Keep store clean, restock bathrooms, sweep and mop floors, take out trash.
• Other duties as assigned.
