Job summary

Family Dollar in Tidioute, PA is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate to provide a friendly shopping experience. You will assist customers, handle sales at the register, and help maintain store cleanliness and safety.

The role requires excellent customer service, strong organization and communication skills, ability to lift 30–50 lbs, and willingness to follow procedures and assist with unloading trucks. A positive attitude and team collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred across retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environments.
• Must be able to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
• Ability to lift 30–50 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, bending, reaching, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks; stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, bathrooms, floors, and trash areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
