Job summary

Family Dollar in Lexington, Missouri is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience. You will assist customers, handle transactions, and help stock and maintain a safe, clean store environment.

The role requires good customer service, the ability to lift 30–50 lbs, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to follow instructions. Prior retail or service experience is highly preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift 30-50 lbs from floor to above shoulder height; frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks; stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and friendly environment for customers, associates, and leaders.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms and floors.
• Other duties as assigned*.
