Job summary

Family Dollar in Kansas City, MO is seeking a Customer Service Associate to provide a positive shopping experience. You will assist customers, process transactions, stock shelves, and ensure store cleanliness and safety.

You may help unload trucks and restock merchandise while maintaining professional interactions with customers and teammates. This part-time role requires a high school diploma (preferred) and strong customer service, communication, and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in customer service in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store is highly preferred.
• Able to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
• Able to lift 30-50 lbs and perform frequent walking/standing tasks.
• Strong customer service and relationship management skills required.
• Good organizational and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect assets.
• Keep the store stocked and recover merchandise as needed.
• Receive merchandise and assist with unloading and stocking.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful store environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
