Job summary

Family Dollar in Missouri is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate to help deliver a positive shopping experience. You will assist customers, process transactions at the register, stock merchandise, and maintain store cleanliness.

The role requires reliable availability, strong customer service, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs. prior retail experience is preferred, with emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment while maintaining professional and friendly interactions
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors and trash
• Other duties as assigned
