Job summary

Family Dollar in Butler, PA is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate to provide an exceptional in-store experience. You will assist customers, operate the cash register, restock merchandise, and help maintain a clean, welcoming store.

This role emphasizes teamwork and reliability in a fast-paced retail setting. A high school diploma is preferred, with prior customer service experience highly valued. Physical tasks include lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, and other physical tasks.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and assist with unloading trucks; stock replenishment per productivity standards.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming store environment; interact professionally with customers and colleagues.
• Other duties as assigned.
