Job summary

Family Dollar in Isle, Minnesota seeks a Customer Service Associate to provide helpful customer support and smooth checkout experiences. You will assist customers, handle transactions, restock shelves, unload deliveries, and maintain store cleanliness while upholding safety and friendly interactions.

The role emphasizes strong communication and problem-solving abilities, with a preference for those who have at least a high school diploma or equivalent and prior retail or service experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Maintain store cleanliness, bathrooms, floors, and trash disposal.
• Other duties as assigned.
