Job summary

Family Dollar in Florida is seeking a Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience. You will assist customers, handle transactions, stock shelves, and keep the store clean and safe.

This part-time role requires a high school diploma (or equivalent) and strong customer service, organization, and communication skills. Previous retail or service experience is preferred, with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and perform repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading and stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Maintain store cleanliness including bathrooms, floors, and rest areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
