Job description

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Store Consultant consistently delivers a positive customer experience by utilizing consultative skills to anticipate customer needs, suggest alternatives, and provide solutions. This team member is knowledgeable in all areas of the Store's business, including print, signs & graphics, and shipping. Responsibilities include taking orders, coordinating store activities, providing pricing and product information, and recommending FedEx Office products and services. The Store Consultant operates and maintains various equipment, manages the production queue, handles complex projects, manages retail supplies, and completes tasks based on priority.

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Follow supervisor instructions and assist team members
  • Assist in training store team members
Service
  • Demonstrate consultative behaviors to understand customer needs
  • Provide expertise in printing, signs & graphics, and shipping products
  • Offer outstanding customer service by anticipating needs and suggesting solutions
  • Resolve customer problems promptly
  • Take complex orders, provide accurate pricing
  • Prepare parcels for shipping
  • Set up and operate printing and binding equipment
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly store
Profit
  • Handle customer data and documents carefully
  • Process transactions using POS systems
  • Maintain and repair equipment and supplies
  • Ensure proper display of products and signage
  • Prevent errors and waste
  • Complete financial paperwork and assist with reports
  • Follow operational, legal, HR, safety, and security policies
Self-Management
  • Perform multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Seek opportunities to improve skills
  • Operate independently with minimal supervision
  • Adhere to all store standards and policies
  • Perform other duties as needed
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 6+ months of specialized experience
  • Excellent communication skills
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Stand during entire shift
  • Lift up to 55 pounds
  • Bend and twist regularly
  • Communicate effectively
  • Work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment
  • Maintain attention and focus
  • Work with minimal supervision
  • Maintain regular attendance and support store hours
