Job description

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Store Consultant consistently delivers a positive customer experience by utilizing consultative skills to anticipate customer needs, suggest alternatives, and provide solutions. This team member is knowledgeable in all areas of the store's business, including print, signs & graphics, and shipping. Responsibilities include taking orders, coordinating store activities, providing pricing and product information, and recommending appropriate FedEx Office products and services. The Store Consultant operates and maintains equipment, manages projects and supplies, and completes tasks based on priority.

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

People
  • Follow supervisor instructions and assist team members in store functions
  • Assist in training store team members
Service
  • Demonstrate consultative behaviors to understand customer needs
  • Provide expertise in printing, signs & graphics, and shipping
  • Ensure outstanding customer service and resolve issues promptly
  • Handle complex orders and provide accurate pricing
  • Prepare parcels for shipping and operate related equipment
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized store
Profit
  • Handle customer data confidentially and process transactions accurately
  • Maintain equipment and supplies for optimal performance
  • Display retail products properly and prevent errors/waste
  • Complete financial paperwork and assist with reporting
  • Adhere to operational, legal, HR, safety, and security policies
Self-Management
  • Perform multiple tasks efficiently
  • Seek opportunities to improve skills
  • Operate independently with minimal supervision
  • Follow all team member standards and perform other duties as needed
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 6+ months of specialized experience
  • Excellent communication skills
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Stand during entire shift
  • Lift up to 55 pounds
  • Perform bending/twisting activities
  • Communicate effectively with customers and team members
  • Work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Maintain attention and concentration
  • Work with minimal supervision
  • Report regularly to work and maintain business hours
