Job description

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Store Consultant consistently delivers a positive customer experience by utilizing consultative skills to anticipate customer needs, suggest alternatives, and provide solutions. This team member is knowledgeable in all areas of the Store's business, including print, signs & graphics, and shipping. Responsibilities include taking orders, coordinating store activities, providing pricing and product information, and recommending FedEx Office products and services. The Store Consultant operates and maintains equipment, manages the production queue, handles complex projects, manages retail supplies, and completes tasks based on priority.

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Follow supervisor instructions and assist team members in store functions
  • Assist in training store team members
Service
  • Demonstrate consultative behaviors to understand customer needs
  • Provide expertise in printing, signs & graphics, and shipping, recommending appropriate products and services
  • Ensure an outstanding customer service experience by anticipating needs and finding solutions
  • Resolve customer problems promptly and satisfactorily
  • Take complex orders, provide accurate pricing, and assemble parcels for shipping
  • Set up and operate printing, binding, and related equipment
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly store
Profit
  • Handle customer data confidentially and manage documents/media securely
  • Process financial transactions, including cash handling
  • Maintain and stock printing and shipping equipment
  • Display retail products and signage properly
  • Prevent errors and waste proactively
  • Complete financial paperwork and assist with reporting
  • Follow standard operating procedures and policies
Self-Management
  • Perform multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Seek opportunities to improve skills and knowledge
  • Work with minimal supervision
  • Adhere to all team member and store standards
  • Perform other duties as needed
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 6 months of specialized experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Meet all employment qualifications and transfer requirements
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Stand for entire shift, excluding breaks
  • Lift up to 55 pounds
  • Perform bending/twisting activities
  • Communicate effectively with customers and team members
  • Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Maintain attention and focus for extended periods
  • Work with minimal supervision
  • Maintain regular attendance and support business hours
Pay Range:

$18.55 - $21.81/hr
