Family Dollar in Bluefield, WV is seeking a Customer Service Associate to provide a positive shopping experience. You will assist customers with questions and recommendations, manage transactions, and ensure store cleanliness and safety.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma (or equivalent) and prior customer service experience. The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs and strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs and handle frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing and pulling.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks and stock replenishment.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Keep the store clean and presentable, including bathrooms and floors.
