Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Texas LLC is seeking a Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience. You will assist customers, handle transactions, stock shelves, and maintain store cleanliness in a part-time role at our Merkel, Texas location.

The position emphasizes customer service,-friendly interactions, and reliable teamwork. Candidates should be able to lift 30–50 lbs and pass a routine store operations standard.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain cash security and protect assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive and unload merchandise, stock replenishment per productivity standards.
• Maintain a positive, safe, respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Keep the store clean, restock bathrooms, sweep and mop floors, take out trash, ensure neat areas.
• Other duties as assigned.
